As a major primary health care provider, South East Health can offer your organisation a wealth of experience and wide range of support services. We operate an extensive GP led primary care out of hours service on behalf of NHS primary care trusts and are currently delivering GP led primary care services in five hospital A&E departments. We are also working with NHS primary care trusts in East Sussex to set up two of the country’s first GP Led Health Centres.

With more than 500 GPs, 120 nurses and a sophisticated call centre operation, we have the skills base, track record, management and technology to provide high quality health services to organisations such as primary care trusts, nursing homes, community hospitals and practice-based administration groups.

Call Centres and Primary Care Centres

Our state-of-the-art call centres operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The service provides direct access to medical help and advice. It is backed up by medical teams which include some of the most experienced primary care clinicians in the country and operate out of a network of primary care centres.

Our call centres also have capacity for additional activity especially during the day and we have recently discussed provision of call handing and contact centre services with a number of organisations such as housing associations and community care providers.

GPs in Hospital A&E Units

SEH has been a pioneer in setting up pilot GP primary care teams within hospital A&E units. The GPs assess and treat non-emergency cases, complementing and assisting the work of casualty staff. We have the capacity to extend these services to other areas and have recently discussed providing such services in the London area.

GP Led Health Centres

We have opened a landmark GP Led Health Centre in Eastbourne on behalf of the NHS East Sussex Downs and Weald Primary Care Trust and will soon be opening another Centre in Hastings on behalf of NHS Hastings and Rother Primary Care Trust.  Combining our local GP knowledge of healthcare needs with our expertise in management and technology, these will operate open door policies. We aim to build patient lists from zero to 3,000 in Hastings and to 3,500 in Eastbourne.

 Pharmacy Services

Our sister company South East Health Plus has recently opened a state of the art pharmacy in Bexhill; we offer a wide range of services and are always interested to hear of other opportunities elsewhere.

Services to Practice Based Commissioning Groups

Our team has good experience of clinical service re-design and we have offered this expertise to Practice Based Commissioning Groups.  Some recent examples include orthopaedic pathways and referral management.
